Characterisation of screen printable piezoelectric thick-films

open access: yes, 1997
Experimental techniques for measuring piezoelectric coefficient d33 of screen printed thick-film lead zirconate totanate (PZT) pastes are described, together with a comparison of these values for different paste formulations. In particular, the effect of

Fabrication of PZT actuated cantilevers on silicon-on-insulator wafers for a RF microswitch. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
A processing scheme for fabricating Pb(ZrxTi1-x)O3 thin film actuated silicon cantilevers using silicon-on-insulator wafers is described. Such piezoelectrically actuated cantilevers are being investigated for RF microswitches.

A Dual‐Bioresponsive and Programmable Microneedle Matrix as a Bioinspired Coupler for Orchestrating Diabetic Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This project developed a smart bandage‐like patch (a microneedle array) for repairing diabetic bone damage. It intelligently senses signals from infection and inflammation, then releases its medicines in a specific, timed sequence: first an antibacterial agent, then an anti‐inflammatory agent, and finally growth factors.
