Recent Advances in Decoupling Strategies for Soft Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review provides an overview of recent advances in decoupling strategies for soft sensors. It summarizes single‐modal sensors that are insensitive to stretching, bending, crosstalk, and other environmental interferences, and highlights emerging multimodal decoupling methods enabled by spatiotemporal information and machine learning.

Magnetically Responsive Piezoelectric Nanocapacitors Enhance Neural Recovery Following Spinal Cord Injury via Targeted Spinal Magnetic Stimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel “in vivo–in vitro” therapeutic strategy for spinal cord injury by leveraging magnetically responsive piezoelectric nanomaterials. These nanomaterials enable targeted delivery of localized electrical stimulation at the injury site through noninvasive external magnetic actuation, thereby promoting axonal regeneration and ...

Piezoelectric Property of Otoliths

Science, 1967
Otoliths of two species of bony fishes have been found to be piezoelectric. Hence, in theory, they constitute a mechanism for depth perception or frequency analysis of sound waves, or both.

Piezoelectric properties of crystals

Soviet Physics Journal, 1989
A microscopic derivation of the tensor of piezoelectric moduli is presented. The piezoelectric coefficients are expressed through the natural frequencies ωα(κ) and polarization vectorse s α (κ) associated with vibrations of the crystalline lattice.

Piezoelectric Properties of Triglycine Sulphate

Journal of the Physical Society of Japan, 1961
Since triglycine sulphate crystal is centrosymmetric above the Curie point, the piezoelectricity in the ferroelectric phase is expected to be an “induced” one as in the case of barium titanate, distinct from an “intrinsic” piezoelectricity of rochelle salt.

Fabrication of Piezoelectric-Rubber of Large Piezoelectric Property

MRS Proceedings, 2014
ABSTRACTIn the previous investigation, piezoelectric properties of the ‘Aligned-type’ in which the piezoelectric-ceramic particles are formed in linear aggregates in the rubber, remarkable piezoelectric properties were confirmed. In this investigation, to further enhance the piezoelectric properties of the Aligned-type, the influence of the matrix ...

Piezoelectric Properties of 1-3 Piezoelectric Tubular Composites

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012
The piezoelectric coefficients of 1-3 piezoelectric tubular composites are studied. Taking into account the non-uniform electric field distribution in piezoelectric tube, the piezoelectric coefficients as functions of volume fraction, aspect ratio, tube density and matrix materials were discussed.

Piezoelectric properties and microstructure of ceramicrete-based piezoelectric composites

Ceramics International, 2021
Abstract Inorganic piezoelectric ceramic composite is the potential sensing element for long-term structural health monitoring due to its excellent durability and compatibility. In this study, a Ceramicrete-based piezoelectric composite is proposed preliminarily, in which the magnesium potassium phosphate cement is used as the matrix and the lead ...

Piezoelectricity and Piezoelectric Properties

2016
This introductory chapter focuses on the fundamental explanations of piezoelectricity, pyroelectricity and ferroelectricity. Electromechanical material tensor coefficients for piezoelectric ceramics, equations of state and mutual thermodynamic relations between coefficients are discussed.
