Optimizing Piezoelectric Stack Preload Bolts in Ultrasonic Transducers
AbstractThe selection of the preload bolt is often an afterthought in the design of Langevin type “sandwich” transducers, but quite often it is the root cause of failure for power ultrasonic applications. The main role of the preload bolt is to provide a “prestress” in the piezo stack to prevent interface “gapping” or tension in glued joints which can ...

Shaping Carbon Nitrides for Advanced Macrostructures
This review examines how carbon nitride can be shaped through a range of printing and interfacial assembly methods. By bringing together additive manufacturing and liquid–liquid structuring concepts, carbon nitride is moving beyond its traditional powder‐based photocatalyst form toward digitally designed robust macroscale architectures with high design

Cavity piezooptomechanics: piezoelectrically excited, optically transduced optomechanical resonators
We present a monolithic integrated aluminum nitride (AlN) optomechanical resonator in which the mechanical motion is actuated by piezoelectric force and the displacement is transduced by a high-Q optical cavity.

Flexible piezopolymer ultrasound transducers are engineered by tailoring the electrode–piezopolymer interface using metallic, flake‐based, and porous graphene electrodes. Laser‐induced graphene's porous structure enables polymer infiltration, strengthening interfacial coupling and enhancing piezoelectric response and acoustic output.
