Crystal phase transformation of α into β phase poly(vinylidene fluoride) via particle formation caused by rapid expansion of supercritical solutions [PDF]
This contribution reports on the impact of the rapid expansion of supercritical solutions (RESS) on poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) properties in terms of particle size, molar mass distribution, crystal phase and finally piezoelectric behavior. Based on

Hafnium zirconium oxide thin films are grown using plasma‐enhanced atomic layer deposition with the addition of an atomic layer annealing (ALA) step. ALA leads to a change in the short‐range structure of the deposit and encourages formation of the ferroelectric Pca21 phase. The result is wake‐up‐free performance with films exposed to ALA.

Thickness-dependent Electrical and Piezoelectric Properties of Lead-Free Ferroelectric Ba0.8Sr0.2TiO3 Thin Films [PDF]
The thickness dependent of electrical and piezoelectric properties of lead-free ferroelectric Ba0.8Sr0.2TiO3 thin films is reported. Ba0.8Sr0.2TiO3 (BST 80/20) thin films for various thickness, ranging from 150 nm to 550 nm, were prepared by high ...

Monolayer MoS2 With Ultrahigh Piezoelectricity: From ALD Dose Control to Device Performance. [PDF]
This study demonstrates that controlling precursor dosages in atomic layer deposition (ALD) serves to regulate ultrathin oxide quality, which in turn determines sulfurization behavior and MoS2 monolayer continuity. The resulting continuous, low‐defect monolayers enable improved piezoelectric performance and support a flexible slippage sensor, linking ...

Architecture‐Driven Functional Coupling in Vertically Aligned Nanocomposites
Vertically aligned nanocomposites define a growth‐engineered architecture in which vertical interfaces, strain fields, defect pathways, and phase connectivity are created simultaneously. This review shows how these architectural features couple ferroic, optical, ionic, electrochemical, and device responses, establishing design rules and open challenges

Microstructural Evolution and Domain Engineering in Porous PZT Thin Films
Porous PZT films offer significant potential due to tunable electromechanical properties, yet the polarization behavior remains insufficiently understood because of discontinuous morphology and domain structures.
