Embroidered Textile Antennas: Influence of Moisture in Communication and Sensor Applications
Moisture causes detuning and increased losses in textile antennas, and it affects resonant and wideband textile antennas differently. In this work, we studied the effect of moisture on a resonant textile planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) and a wideband ...

Comparative Genomics of the Endosymbiont Cardinium Causing Reproductive Manipulation in Encarsia Parasitoid Wasps. [PDF]
We assembled four Cardinium hertigii draft genomes: cEina3 causes cytoplasmic incompatibility, cEhis1 induces parthenogenesis, cEper2 is associated with parthenogenesis, and cEina2 infects asymptomatically. All four strains are closely related and hosted by Encarsia parasitoid wasps, but key differences exist, including their metabolic potential and ...

Direct nitrogen atom insertion for skeletal editing tends to rely on superstoichiometric amounts of chemical oxidants. Herein, we report on a manganaelectro‐catalyzed nitrogen atom insertion into indenes with broad scope to access isoquinolines. Additionally, the reaction is easily scalable via electroflow.

Design of a Novel Compact MICS Band PIFA Antenna for Implantable Biotelemetry Applications
An implantable stacked planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) for biotelemetric communication in the 402–405 MHz Medical Implant Communications Service (MICS) frequency band is designed and fabricated. With the proposed PIFA structure, a slot on each radiating

An effective electrochemical synthetic route to bacillosporin C, a dimeric oxaphenalenone of the duclauxin family, is disclosed. The key transformation is a site‐selective oxidative homocoupling of the oxaphenalenone monomer SF226, achieved under redox‐mediator‐free conditions.

2,3‐Dichloro‐5,6‐dicyano‐1,4‐benzoquinone serves as a versatile oxidant and redox catalyst for CC bond formation through hydride abstraction or single‐electron transfer. Stoichiometric and catalytic systems enable benzylic, allylic, and aromatic CH activation under mild, metal‐free conditions, providing sustainable routes to complex and bioactive ...

This work demonstrates ultra‐high ON‐OFF responsivity of AJP by mechanical switching valve assisted shuttering. The jet relaxation and ON‐OFF delay are substantially eliminated from greater than 35 s, maintaining patterning quality independent of the variations of printing parameters, permitting excellent process stability and universality.
