Acute Pancreatitis in Individuals with COVID‐19: A Case Report and Critical Review of Literature
Involvement of gastrointestinal tract has been reported in individuals diagnosed with COVID‐19. Herein, we report a case of 65‐year‐old woman with type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and end‐stage renal disease undergoing hemodialysis who was initially diagnosed with COVID‐19 on a screening test.

In 2017, respiratory disease and low mortality were reported in domestic flying pigeons (Columba livia var. domestica) trained as hunting live bait in a breeding farm in Umbria, Italy. Clinically, open beak breathing, dropped wings, and pharyngeal and laryngeal hyperaemia were observed. Three birds were submitted for necropsy.

Abstract After two decades free of Newcastle disease, Belgium encountered a velogenic avian orthoavulavirus type 1 epizootic in 2018. In Belgium, 20 cases were diagnosed, of which 15 occurred in hobby flocks, 2 in professional poultry flocks and 3 in poultry retailers.

Comparative Study of Vaccine-Induced Humoral Immune Response Against Newcastle Disease Virus and Avian Influenza Virus (H9N2) in Different Bird Species of Mashhad Birds Garden. [PDF]
The study involved 230 serum samples from various bird species. Birds were vaccinated with ND and AI vaccines, and their antibody titters were measured. ND vaccination significantly increased titres in most species, while AI vaccination had mixed results, with some species showing reduced titters after the second dose.
