Ecol EvolA large chromosomal inversion in common quails (Coturnix coturnix) is associated with phenotypic traits. In a wintering population in southern Spain, we found all three karyotypes coexisting but showing differences in migratory behavior and diet, as exemplified by the isotopic signature.
