Hollow Cholesteric Liquid Crystal Elastomer Fiber with Synergistically Enhanced Resilience and Mechanochromic Sensitivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
It describes hollow cholesteric liquid crystal elastomer fiber with radial helix prepared by solvent evaporation‐induced assembly and template assistance. The fiber show mechanochromic wavelength blueshift of 2.25 nm·%−1 under low strain. Excellent mechanochromic reversibility and resilience are devoted by cross‐linking in the wall layer.

Bionic Artificial Leaves Based on AIE‐Active Supramolecular Hydrogel for Efficient Photocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel bionic artificial leaf is developed by integrating host‐guest interactions with covalent bonding. Meso‐functionalized pillararene (m‐TPEWP5) formed a stable host‐guest complex HGSM with guest G, which is copolymerized with gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA) to form a hydrogel HGGelMA for encapsulating eosin Y (ESY).

β‐Mangostin Attenuates TET2‐Mediated DNA Demethylation of Prkcg in the Prevention of Intervertebral Disc Degeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
β‐Mangostin alleviates intervertebral disc degeneration through dual modulation of macrophage polarization and the TET2‐Prkcg axis in nucleus pulposus cells. Abstract Intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD) induced lower back pain is a main cause of disability, resulting in a substantial workforce loss worldwide and placing a substantial burden on the ...

Nanofabricated Bacterial Cell Walls with Intrinsic Peroxidase‐Mimicking and Sonodynamic Activities for Cancer Combination Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bacterial cell walls (CWs) extracted from Porphyromonas gingivalis are nanofabricated to form the CW vesicles (CWV), which have intrinsic peroxidase‐mimicking and sonodynamic activities due to the presence of µ‐oxo bisheme and meanwhile retain a large amount of lipopolysaccharide.
