Compilation of Giant Electric Dipole Resonances Built on Excited States [PDF]
Giant Electric Dipole Resonance (GDR) parameters for gamma decay to excited states with finite spin and temperature are compiled. Over 100 original works have been reviewed and from some 70 of which more than 300 parameter sets of hot GDR parameters for ...

Undrained behavior of auger cast-in-place piles in multilayered soil
Auger cast-in-place piles (ACIP) are often installed through multilayered soil profiles, which make accurate predictions of the performance of the piles more complex than piles constructed in either clay or sand deposits.

Absolute measurement of the nitrogen fluorescence yield in air between 300 and 430 nm [PDF]
The nitrogen fluorescence induced in air is used to detect ultra-high energy cosmic rays and to measure their energy. The precise knowledge of the absolute fluorescence yield is the key quantity to improve the accuracy on the cosmic ray energy. The total

Ultrasmall Platinum Nanoparticles for Radiation‐Enhanced Cancer Therapy
This work proposes a nanomedicine‐based strategy to enhance X‐ray radiotherapy for cancer treatment. Ultrasmall Pt‐NPs exhibit catalase‐like activity that may contribute to modulation of the tumor microenvironment and amplify interactions between radiation and biological matter, leading to increased DNA damage.

A fully transparent, all‐metal‐oxide neuromorphic transistor using a sodium‐embedded alumina (SEA) electrolyte is demonstrated. By precisely tuning the thermal annealing process, the chemical composition of the SEA layer is controlled, allowing for the deterministic realization of both short‐term and long‐term synaptic plasticity within the same device

Low Energy Electron and Nuclear Recoil Thresholds in the DRIFT-II Negative Ion TPC for Dark Matter Searches [PDF]
Understanding the ability to measure and discriminate particle events at the lowest possible energy is an essential requirement in developing new experiments to search for weakly interacting massive particle (WIMP) dark matter. In this paper we detail an

We report phosphine‐oxide interlayers for wide‐bandgap perovskite solar cells, in which tuned P = O Lewis basicity enables selective passivation of buried NiOx/perovskite interfaces and introduces interfacial dipoles that strengthen the built‐in field.

Remoulding of the Mercia Mudstone Group around CFA pile shafts [PDF]
A field test has been undertaken to investigate changes to in situ Mercia Mudstone at the pile soil interface after installation of four 5.5 m long 350 mm diameter CFA piles. The test investigated whether a remoulded zone exists, the extent of the zone,

Conjugated polymer–nanocrystal composites are investigated to develop fast, high‐yield green scintillators. The polymer F8BT enables efficient, ultrafast emission, while blends with non‐emitting HfO2 nanocrystals and luminescent CdZnS/ZnS quantum dots reveal distinct sensitization mechanisms.

This work presents an innovative spin‐on SiOx‐assisted inkjet‐printed approach to form localized n+ and p+ poly‐Si/SiOx passivating contacts for high‐efficiency silicon solar cells within a single‐annealing step. The developed process results in a well‐defined interdigitated doping pattern, with unintended doping and cross‐doping concentrations ...
