The Dynamic Effect of Pile Installation in Sand on Nearby Piles
Driven piles have often been used in many civil structures to provide structural loading support. However, the unavoidable vibrations induced by pile driving processes may cause varying degrees of damage to adjacent structures. This research presents experimental studies to investigate the transmitted vibrations induced by impact of pile driving on ...

DNA strands are employed both as dynamic linkers and nanoscale templates for the integration of Ag2S nanoparticles on MoS2, which in turn imparted photothermal responsiveness; this feature permits the selective cargo (fluorophore, quantum dots or an enzyme) release from the MoS2 surface in response to local heat induced by light irradiation.

From Single Atoms to Nanoparticles: Pathways Toward Efficient and Durable Pt/TiO2 Photocatalysts
Platinum single atoms on TiO2 nanosheets evolve into clusters and nanoparticles under ethanol photoreforming and thermal treatments. By controlling deposition and post‐treatments, particle size and location on specific facets are modulated. The study reveals how stability pathways determine efficiency, guiding the design of more durable photocatalysts.

Experimental Study on the Time-Dependent Resistance of Open-Ended Steel Piles in Sand
Open-ended steel piles are commonly used as the foundation for offshore structures. Numerous model and field tests have demonstrated a time-dependent increase in the resistance of these piles, a phenomenon referred to as pile ageing or pile setup ...

Atomic‐Scale Light Coupling Control in Ultrathin Photonic Membranes
Ultrathin photonic nanomembranes provide atomic‐scale control over the coupling between incident light and high‐Q photonic modes, enabling angstrom‐level resonance tuning and strong field confinement. When integrated with TMD monolayers, they further yield enhanced light–matter interactions, offering a versatile platform for advancing quantum photonics,

Counterion Dependent Side‐Chain Relaxation Stiffens a Chemically Doped Thienothiophene Copolymer
Oxidation of a thienothiophene copolymer, p(g3TT‐T2), via different doping strategies and dopant molecules resulted in materials with similar oxidation levels and a high electrical conductivity of ≈100 S cm−1. However, mechanical properties varied significantly, with sub‐glass transition temperatures and elastic moduli spanning from –44°C to –3°C and ...

Ferroelectricity in Antiferromagnetic Wurtzite Nitrides
We establish MnSiN2${\rm MnSiN}_2$ and MnGeN2${\rm MnGeN}_2$ as aristotypes of a new multiferroic wurtzite family that simultaneously exhibits ferroelectricity and antiferromagnetism with altermagnetic spin splitting. By strategically substituting alkaline‐earth metals, we predict new materials with coexisting switchable polarization, spin texture, and

Soil heave and pile heave caused by pile installation
Pile installation will lead to vertical and horizontal soil movements around the pile. The vertical soil movements will cause heave of piles which have already been installed in the vicinity. As a result, tensile force may be induced in the existing piles.

Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with metals have been recognized as versatile platforms for photocatalytic CO2 reduction (CO2PRR). Herein, an overview of metal integration strategies for COFs is systematically summarized. Regulatory mechanisms and structure–activity relationships between metal integration and COF‐based CO2PRR are emphasized.
