Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

Bearing capacity of pile by the theoretical method, by methods of static and dynamic sounding [PDF]
The bearing capacity of single pile depends on the mechanical properties of the soil and the method of the device or a pile penetration. There are three methods of determining the bearing capacity of single piles: theoretical method, the dynamic ...

A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

Innovative installation techniques for PHC piles [PDF]
The high population density in Hong Kong necessitates the adoption of heavy infrastructures and high-rise buildings for public and private uses. These heavy infrastructures and high-rise buildings require the support of pile foundations.

Additive Gaussian Process Regression for Predictive Design of High‐Performance, Printable Silicones
A chemistry‐aware design framework for tuning printable polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) for vat photopolymerization (VPP) is developed using additive Gaussian process (GP) modeling. Polymer network mechanics informs variable groupings, feasible formulation constraints, and interaction variables.

Evaluation Of Bearing Capacity For Model Piles Driven In Sandy Soil
This study represents an effort to study the effect of driven pile type and relative density of the sand on the evaluation of bearing capacity of pile under two different types of loading, compression and tension (uplift) loads.

Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...

Pile tunnel interaction: literature review and data analysis [PDF]
The underground space of densely populated cities contains deep foundations and tunnels. Considering the possibility that a new tunnel can be built close to existing piles it is necessary to assess the possible effects of that interaction.
