Experimental Demonstration of Temporally Aware Fault‐Tolerant Sensor Fusion Using Memristive Associative Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
In dynamic driving scenarios, the proposed approach ensures only temporally aligned sensor inputs to make driving decisions, preventing false activations. By enabling selective hardware‐level learning, it achieves fast, reliable responses under noisy conditions.

Ferroelectric Behavior of Micro‐ to Submicron‐Scale HZO Capacitors: Impact of the Perimeter‐to‐Area Ratio

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Using C‐AFM, W/HZO/p‐Ge capacitors with areas down to 0.26 µm2 are investigated. Frequency‐dependent voltage ramps reveal switching currents that confirm complete polarization reversal across the entire electrode area, while PUND enables reconstruction of P–V loops.

Three essays on competition policy and innovation

open access: yes, 2007
This thesis looks at the various activities of competition authorities, such as the United Kingdom's Office of Fair Trading or the US Federal Trade Commission, and shows examples of how a tough, competition-promoting stance can boost innovation.

The British kit car industry: understanding a ‘world of production'

open access: yes, 2003
This paper explores how some of the ideas emerging from the 'cultural turn' in economic geography can help us understand the 'world of production' constituted by a revivified artisanal sector - the British kit car industry.

Exploiting Temperature Effects for Robust Control and Reference Circuits Using Thin‐Film Contact‐Controlled Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Compact circuits based on contact‐controlled transistors are well‐suited to unsupervised thermal management, sensitive temperature measurement, or temperature‐stable current references. Demonstrated on flexible microcrystalline silicon and supported by simulation, the approach does not require supply voltage regulation, remains manufacturable across ...
