On the infrageneric classification of Pinguicula [PDF]
In this article, the morphology-based “traditional” infrageneric classification of the genus Pinguicula is opposed to “modern”, phylogeny-based concepts. But concepts are compared and illustrated, and a new infrageneric concept of four sections for the Central American evolutionary linage of Pinguicula is proposed.

Sansevieria pinguicula - the 'walking' Sansevieria [PDF]
Sansevieria pinguicula is very distinctive and relatively slow growing. It was first described in 1964 by Peter Bally from plants he discovered in the Tana River region of Kenya.

Signaling defenses with color: a meta-analysis of leaf color variation, palatability, and herbivore damage. [PDF]
Summary We investigated the impact of leaf color variation on herbivory, testing current hypotheses indicating that leaf color could influence herbivory through bottom‐up control (by signaling leaf quality and defenses) or top‐down control (by attracting predators).

Adaptive plant traits under anthropogenic burning regimes: A database for UK heath and mire plant species. [PDF]
Abstract Premise Humans have used fire to manage landscapes for millennia, but this use of fire is declining in many ecosystems. Understanding how plants respond to these changes is key to predicting ecosystem resilience and impacts on services such as biodiversity and carbon sequestration. However, many ecosystems lack data on plant fire responses.
