Multi-pinhole fluorescent x-ray computed tomography for molecular imaging
We propose a multi-pinhole fluorescent x-ray computed tomography (mp-FXCT) technique for preclinical molecular imaging that can provide the complete data necessary to produce 3-D tomographic images during anaesthesia. In this method, multiple projections

The Performance of MLEM for Dynamic Imaging From Simulated Few-View, Multi-Pinhole SPECT [PDF]
Stationary small-animal SPECT systems are being developed for rapid dynamic imaging from limited angular views. This work quantified, through simulations, the performance of Maximum Likelihood Expectation Maximization (MLEM) for reconstructing a time ...

Photonic Engineering Enables All‐Passive Upconversion Imaging with Low‐Intensity Near‐Infrared Light
A passive upconversion imaging system enables the observation of scenes illuminated by low‐intensity incoherent near‐infrared light from 750 to 930 nm, by converting it into the visible without the use of external power. The upconverter is enabled by triplet–triplet annihilation in a bulk heterojunction, with absorption enhanced by plasmonic resonators

Grain Boundary Space Charge Engineering of Solid Oxide Electrolytes: Model Thin Film Study
This study demonstrates unprecedented control of grain boundary electrical properties in solid electrolytes. Selective diffusion of cations through grain boundaries in thin films enables 12 orders of magnitude variation in ionic resistance, proving that systematic chemical modification of grain boundary electrical properties is feasible.

Microsphere Autolithography—A Scalable Approach for Arbitrary Patterning of Dielectric Spheres
MicroSphere Autolithography (µSAL) enables scalable fabrication of patchy particles with customizable surface motifs. Focusing light through dielectric microspheres creates well defined, tunable patches via a conformal poly(dopamine) photoresist. Nearly arbitrary surface patterns can be achieved, with the resolution set by the index contrast between ...

Pinhole Versus Parallel-Hole Collimators for Parathyroid Imaging: An Intraindividual Comparison [PDF]
This study was undertaken to determine the effects of collimators on the accuracy of preoperative sestamibi parathyroid imaging of the neck.Forty-nine patients with primary hyperparathyroidism underwent preoperative (99m)Tc-sestamibi parathyroid imaging. The protocol included early and late pinhole and parallel-hole imaging.

Correlated two-photon imaging with true thermal light [PDF]
We report the first experimental demonstration of two-photon correlated imaging with true thermal light from a hollow cathode lamp. The coherence time of the source is much shorter than that of previous experiments using random scattered light from a ...

This study shows anti‐CEACAM5 CAR T‐cells are ineffective against colorectal cancer (CRC) because of CEACAM5 sequestration at intercellular junctions and the thick tumour cell glycocalyx. Enzymatic treatments of CRC cell monolayer/tissue section with trypsin or hyaluronidase restore CEACAM5 availability, enhance CAR T‐cell activation, increase ...

Optimal design of Anger camera for bremsstrahlung imaging: Monte Carlo evaluation.
A conventional Anger camera is not adapted to bremsstrahlung imaging and, as a result, even using a reduced energy acquisition window, geometric x-rays represent less than 15% of the recorded events. This increases noise, limits the contrast, and reduces
