This paper demonstrates a snapshot 5D and modality‐switchable lensless camera (Diffuser‐mCam), which can encode 2D intensity, multi‐spectral, polarization, and time information into a monochromatic raw data, and subsequently decode it using the compressed sensing algorithm at the sampling rate of 2.5% per channel.

Quantitative characterization of the x-ray imaging capability of rotating modulation collimators with laser light [PDF]
We developed a method for making quantitative characterizations of bi-grid rotating modulation collimators (RMC ’s) that are used in a Fourier transform x-ray imager.

X-ray luminescence computed tomography using a focused X-ray beam
Due to the low X-ray photon utilization efficiency and low measurement sensitivity of the electron multiplying charge coupled device (EMCCD) camera setup, the collimator based narrow beam X-ray luminescence computed tomography (XLCT) usually requires a ...

Comparison of pinhole collimation and focusing optics for SANS [PDF]
Abstract We examine quantitatively the instrumental factors that affect the theoretical performance and practical application of conventional pinhole collimation and focusing optics for small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) measurements. We calculate the relative performance of pinhole collimation vis-a-vis focusing by grazing incidence elliptical ...

Cold EI—The Way to Improve GC‐MS and Increase Its Range of Applications
ABSTRACT Gas chromatography‐mass spectrometry (GC‐MS) with Cold electron ionization (EI) is based on interfacing the GC and MS with a supersonic molecular beam (SMB) along with electron ionization of vibrationally cold sample compounds in the SMB in a contact‐free fly‐through ion source (hence the name Cold EI).

Anisotropy Analysis of Bamboo and Tooth Using 4‐Angle Polarization Micro‐Spectroscopy
Super‐resolution via orientation: spatial distribution of specific molecular vibrations are revealed at 1/20 of the diffraction limit. ABSTRACT To investigate the anisotropic properties of biomaterials, two distinct classes are considered as follows: polymer‐based (cellulose in plants) and crystalline‐based (enamel in teeth), each demonstrating ...

Characterizing the parallax error in multi-pinhole micro-SPECT reconstruction [PDF]
The usage of pinholes is very important in preclinical micro-SPECT. Pinholes can magnify the object onto the detector, resulting in better system resolutions than the detector resolution.

On the Beam Characteristics of X‐Ray Bursts Observed in Rocket‐Triggered Lightning
Abstract Employing the multi‐station Thunderstorm Energetic Radiation Observation System, we detected X‐ray bursts during two rocket‐triggered lightning events in 2024. By innovatively integrating optical imaging with three‐dimensional lightning channel reconstruction based on Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS), we analyzed the X‐ray emission ...
