Evolution of crystallographic texture and material anisotropy effects resulting from uniaxial deformation for high‐strength steels with high manganese content

open access: yesJournal of Applied Crystallography, Volume 59, Issue 1, Page 163-178, February 2026.
The present study investigates the deformation behavior of high‐strength steels and the associated evolution of material anisotropy. Particular focus is placed on the impact of crystallographic texture and intergranular strains on how residual stresses can be evaluated using X‐ray diffraction and the associated assessment of weld seams in the ...

Lithium‐Charged Gold Nanoparticles: A New Powerful Tool for Lithium Delivery and Modulation of Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3 Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 3, 13 January 2026.
This study introduces glutathione‐stabilized gold nanoparticles for targeted lithium delivery (LiG‐AuNPs), enabling the controlled modulation of Glycogen Synthase Kinase‐3 (GSK‐3β). These non‐toxic, 2‐nm particles release lithium intracellularly, effectively inhibiting GSK‐3β in the brain without significant plasma lithium alterations.

Project of auroral X-ray image observations using two-dimentional array of Si(Li) semiconductor detectors

open access: yesAntarctic Record, 1985
To observe auroral X-ray images, the horizontal two-dimensional array of the Lithium-drifted Silicon Si(Li) detectors has been developed. The auroral X-ray imager has 5×5 pixels.

Optimization of helical acquisition parameters to preserve uniformity of mouse whole body using multipinhole collimator in single-photon emission computed tomography

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2016
Focusing on whole-body uniformity in small-animal single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), we examined the optimal helical acquisition parameters using five-pinhole collimators for mouse imaging.

A spect scanner for rodent imaging based on small-area gamma cameras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We developed a cost-effective SPECT scanner prototype (rSPECT) for in vivo imaging of rodents based on small-area gamma cameras. Each detector consists of a position-sensitive photomultiplier tube (PS-PMT) coupled to a 30 30 NaI(Tl) scintillator ...

Group Delay Dispersion Measurements on Mid‐Infrared Supermirrors

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 14, Issue 3, 19 January 2026.
Group delay dispersion of novel semiconductor‐based optics is measured in the mid‐infrared spectral range (2.5 to 4.8 μm$\rm \umu{\rm m}$). Comparisons are made between simulations, measurements conducted with a home‐built white light interferometer, and measurements performed with a commercially available FTIR.

Studies of auroral X-ray imaging from high altitude spacecraft [PDF]

open access: yes
Results of a study of techniques for imaging the aurora from a high altitude satellite at X-ray wavelengths are summarized. The X-ray observations allow the straightforward derivation of the primary auroral X-ray spectrum and can be made at all local ...

Collimator design for a clinical brain SPECT/MRI insert [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This project's goal is to design a SPECT insert for a clinical MRI system for simultaneous brain SPECT/MR imaging. We assume the stationary SPECT insert will consist of two rings of ∼5x5-cm SiPM-based detectors insensitive to magnetic fields, with 0.8-mm
