Somatic Embryogenesis in Pinus Radiata Don.
1995Pinus radiata (Monterey pine) is by far the most dominant plantation softwood in several Southern hemisphere countries. Recent figures indicate expanding acreage’s of ca. 700000 ha in Australia, ca. 1.3 million ha in Chile and ca. 1 million ha in New Zealand, these three countries accounting for most plantations of this species.

THE CLASSIFICATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF THE MYCORRHIZAS OF PINUS RADIATA
Australian Forestry, 1965SUMMARY Seven different types of mycorrhiza were collected from a stand of Pinus radiata D. Don growing at Mt. Macedon. Victoria. These were classified according to Dominik's colour key. One of the forms has not been described before. The distribution of these types along a random traverse was studied over a period of 14 months.

The longitudinal Young's modulus of Pinus radiata
Wood Science and Technology, 1969The variation of the longitudinal Young's modulus with mean cellulose microfibril angle of the wood substance of the earlywood of a softwood has been determined from small clear samples. The longitudinal Young's modulus falls steeply as the angle between the longitudinal axis and the mean microfibril direction in the cell walls increases. The variation

A SEED PRODUCTION EXPERIMENT WITH PINUS RADIATA
Australian Forestry, 1966SUMMARY A study of seed production of Pinus radiata D. Don. has been made in two stands in Gippsland, Victoria, after a heavy thinning at nine years. It has shown that seed production per acre increased five-fold in the five years after a thinning to the best 100 trees per acre.
