Natural variation in OsMYB305 downregulating cytokinin‐mediated inhibition of leaf senescence contributes to regional adaptation in rice

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 251, Issue 4, Page 1873-1888, August 2026.
Proposed regulatory model of OsMYB305 in leaf senescence. Summary Accumulating evidence has identified transcription factors (TFs) as key regulators of the onset and progression of leaf senescence. However, the regulatory role of the rice myeloblastosis (MYB) TF OsMYB305 in this process remains largely unknown.

Divergent plant and microbial community change in response to coastal salinization and sea level rise

open access: yesEcosphere, Volume 17, Issue 7, July 2026.
Abstract Diverging community responses of plants and microbes to global change have the potential to disrupt ecosystem function and resiliency. Saltwater intrusion and sea level rise (SWISLR) threaten coastal ecosystems and are associated with multiple stressors—salinization, alkalinization, and inundation.

Crop coefficient in different densities of Pinus taeda

open access: yesAdvances in Forestry Science, 2018
We analyzed the crop coefficient (Kc) of Pinus taeda within different planting densities in order to understand the effect of density population over the maximum water consumption, which will help us to improve its general values presented in the literature. The soil water balance was carried out over a year in a six years-old commercial pine forest in

Spatial and temporal variation in survival of female wild turkeys

open access: yesThe Journal of Wildlife Management, Volume 90, Issue 5, July 2026.
We monitored 370 female wild turkeys across North Carolina's 3 ecoregions from 2020‐2022 to understand factors influencing their survival. Female survival varied by ecoregion and behavior state, with the incubation period having the lowest survival rates. None of the land cover variables affected survival.

Water availability regulates carbon and nitrogen cycling following soil amendment application

open access: yesSoil Science Society of America Journal, Volume 90, Issue 4, July/August 2026.
Abstract Organic amendments are applied to enhance soil carbon (C) storage, improve nutrient cycling, and mitigate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, yet their interaction with soil moisture regimes in regulating C and nitrogen (N) cycling is largely overlooked.

Acúmulo de Carbono no Pinus taeda Estimado pela Densitometria de Raios X e Análise de Tronco

open access: yesPesquisa Florestal Brasileira, 2011
