Evidence for pion-pion interactions froms-wave pion-nucleon scattering

Il Nuovo Cimento, 1961
By fitting the s-wave partial amplitudes for π-Open image in new window-scattering, in an unphysical region, we have greatly extended the energy range over which we can examine the contribution from the process π+π→Open image in new window. Our method shows up contributions from this process in states of isotopic spinT=0 andT=1.

The S Wave Pion-Pion Interaction

Proceedings of the Physical Society, 1961
The pion-pion interaction has been studied with an explicit appeal to the standard quantum field theory. Lowest order perturbation theory calculations indicate that the usual renormalization procedure may imply an indefinite quantization metric. An alternative procedure, using a regulator cut-off near the nucleon mass, is therefore adopted, and on this

T=2 pion-pion scattering

Il Nuovo Cimento A, 1969
Angular distributions for π−π− scattering have been studied using the reaction π−p→π−π−π+p at 2.26 GeV/c. TheT=2D-wave phase shift is discussed.

Pion Softening and Pion Condensation

Physics of Atomic Nuclei, 2020
In this paper after a historical introduction I discuss ideas of a pion softening and pion condensation in a dense nuclear matter, in particular in neutron stars, and a conjecture about a feasible existence of abnormal nuclei.

Pion-Pion Scattering and Low-Energy Pion Production

Physical Review, 1962
A model for the reaction $\ensuremath{\pi}+N\ensuremath{\rightarrow}2\ensuremath{\pi}+N$ at low energies, with $\ensuremath{\pi}\ensuremath{-}\ensuremath{\pi}$ scattering lengths as parameters, discussed in a previous analysis is extended by removing the assumption that $\frac{{a}_{0}}{{a}_{2}}=\frac{5}{2}$. The parameters are determined by using the ${
