Semi-inclusive charged-pion electroproduction off protons and deuterons: Cross sections, ratios, and access to the quark-parton model at low energies [PDF]
A large set of cross sections for semi-inclusive electroproduction of charged pions (π^±) from both proton and deuteron targets was measured. The data are in the deep-inelastic scattering region with invariant mass squared W^2>4 GeV^2 (up to ≈7 GeV^2 ...

The gamma-N -> Delta transition in chiral effective-field theory
We describe the pion electroproduction processes in the $\Delta$(1232)-resonance region within the framework of chiral effective-field theory. By studying the observables of pion electroproduction in a next-to-leading order calculation we are able to ...

Partial-Wave Analysis of Single-Pion Production Reactions
We present an overview of our efforts to analyze pion-nucleon elastic scattering data, along with data from related photo- and electroproduction reactions, in order to study the baryon spectrum. We then focus on the Delta(1232) resonance.

Pion electroproduction from 6Li
Abstract The pion electroproduction cross section from 6 Li is calculated assuming the 6 He nucleus is detected. The wave-functions used in this calculation are those which gave the best agreement with the 6 Li(γ,π + ) 6 He data. The electro-production experiment will provide a useful check of these wave functions.

Recent developments in the dynamical and unitary isobar models for pion electromagnetic production [PDF]
gamma N->Delta transition form factors and threshold pi^0 photo- and electroproduction are studied with the new version of MAID and a dynamical model. By re-analyzing the recent Jlab data on p(e,e'p) pi^0 at Q^2 = 2.8 and 4.0 (GeV/c)^2, we find that the ...

Pion electroproduction and scaling
Abstract The properties of the differential cross section for pion electroproduction in the sca;ing limit are predicted using PCAC and the light cone approach. Pion production of muon pairs is also considered.

An attempt to understand exclusive pi+ electroproduction
Hard exclusive pi+ electroproduction is investigated within the handbag approach. The prominent role of the pion-pole contribution is demonstrated. It is also shown that the experimental data require a twist-3 effect which ensues from the helicity-flip ...

Exclusive high-$Q^2$ electroproduction: light-cone wave functions and electromagnetic form factors of mesons, [PDF]
We apply the light-cone technique to electroproduction reaction $ep\to e\pi^+n$ long considered as a means of measuring the electromagnetic form factor of the pion.

Comment about pion electro-production and the axial form factors [PDF]
The claim by Haberzettl (Phys.Rev.Lett.85 (2000) 3576) that the axial form factor of the nucleon cannot be accessed through threshold pion electroproduction is ...
