Pion electroproduction at threshold

Physical Review C, 1993
By using the partially conserved axial-vector current hypothesis and the electromagnetic current conservation law, we calculate transverse and longitudinal multipoles for threshold pion electroproduction on the nucleon. We include off-shell form factors for the axial-vector current, the electromagnetic current, and the pion-nucleon vertex.

Pion electroproduction at threshold

Il Nuovo Cimento A, 1973
In this paper we discuss a method to calculate the axial nucleon form factorgA and the electromagnetic pion form factorFπ from electroproduction data at threshold. The theoretical ingredients are gauge invariance, low-energy theorems and fixed-t dispersion relations. We also discuss the errors involved in the unavoidable approximations.

Inclusive charged-pion electroproduction

Physical Review D, 1977
We report measurements of semi-inclusive pion electroproduction from both hydrogen and deuterium targets carried out at the Wilson Synchrotron Laboratory at Cornell University. Measurements were made at the (W,Q/sup 2/) points (2.15 GeV, 1.2 GeV/sup 2/), (2.15, 4.0), and (3.11, 1.2) with hydrogen and deuterium, and at (2.15, 2.0), (2.67, 3.3), and (3 ...

Pion electroproduction on proton and deuteron

Physical Review C, 1994
The cross sections for the p(e,e'${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\pi}}}^{+}$)n and d(e,e'${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\pi}}}^{+}$)2n reactions are calculated using a simple model with pion, nucleon and \ensuremath{\Delta}-resonance degrees of freedom, for the kinematical conditions used in a recent Saclay experiment.

Charged-pion electroproduction on light nuclei

Il Nuovo Cimento A, 1966
The differential cross-section for the photoproduction of charged pions on light nuclei has been measured for different values of the photon energy using the excitation-curve method. Hydrogen, Lithium 6, Lithium 7 and Carbon have been studied. We found no correlation with the detailed structure of the final nuclei. The data seem consistent with a model

Electroproduction of pions on the nucleon

Nuclear Physics A, 1990
Abstract Electroproduction of pions on the nucleon is investigated with the dynamical model of Nozawa, Blankleider and Lee. The predicted cross sections are in good agreement with the inclusive p(e, e') data, and reproduce to a large extent the p(e, e'π) triple-coincidence data.

Pion Electroproduction from Nuclei

Physical Review, 1969
Detailed understanding of hadron production in nuclei is important for nuclear physics, for the study of hadron-nucleon interactions, and for quantum-electrodynamic experiments involving nuclear targets. The double differential electron-nuclear cross section is calculated for the region of electron energy loss corresponding to excitation of the first ...

Virtual photons in pion electroproduction

Nuclear Physics A, 1982
Abstract We examine the applicability of the virtual photon spectrum to pion production experiments by using an exact calculation of pion electroproduction from the proton and from 3He. After deriving a new virtual spectrum formula which takes into account the recoil of light target nuclei and the proper electron kinematics near the endpoint, we find
