Inclusive Pion Distributions in Electroproduction

Physical Review Letters, 1972
Measurements are reported for the process e+pe++ + anything. Partial multiplicities and average transverse momenta show no significant dependence on Q2. © 1972 The American Physical Society.

Electroproduction of neutral pions on the proton

Nuclear Physics A, 1997
Abstract The double-differential coincidence cross section for the reaction 1 H(e,e′π 0 )p has been measured at Q 2 = 0.1 (GeV/ c ) 2 for a range in the invariant energy W of 1 to 14 MeV above threshold in order to determine the s-wave multipoles E 0+ and L 0+ .

Pion Electroproduction and Siegert’s Theorem

Few-Body Systems, 2016
Nucleon to Resonance transition form factors are discussed within the MAID model for pion electroproduction on the nucleon. For low \(Q^2\) the consequences of Siegert’s theorem are presented and medium to large violations of the Long Wavelength Limit at the pseudo-threshold are observed for the phenomenological parametrizations of the longitudinal ...

Experimental Investigation of Pion Electroproduction

Physical Review, 1963
Measurements of the totel cross section for the processes e + p yields e' + n + pi /sup +/ and e + p yields e' + p + pi /sup 0/ are reported for a wide range of center-of-mass energies and momentum transfers extending above the first pionnucleon resonance and to momentum transfers of 20 F/sup -2/. Only the final electron is observed in this experiment.

Electroproduction of pions from deuterons

Nuclear Physics, 1966
Abstract The inelastic scattering of electrons by deuterons resulting in pion production is studied using the impulse approximation. For calculational purposes, the amplitude for the production from a single nucleon is taken from the work of Fubini, Nambu and Wataghin.

Experiments on threshold pion electroproduction

2008
Experimental techniques to access the reactions p(e, e′ p)π0 and d(e, e′ d)π0 at low four momentum transfer and close to threshold are presented. For p(e, e′ p)π0 results at Q 2=0.1 GeV2/c 2 are given and compared to chiral perturbation theory. A new experimental program on d(e, e′ d)π0 is presented.

Pion-Electroproduction from Single Nucleons

1979
We are currently examining pion-electroproduction from various nuclei. To do so, we are employing the formalism developed by L.M. Saunders1 which treats electroproduction and photoproduction on the same footing. This formalism neatly divides the problem into single nucleon production amplitudes, standard nuclear physics, and pion-nucleus interactions ...
