Outpatient Endometrial Sampling with the Pipelle Curette

Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation, 2010
This study compares outpatient endometrial sampling using the Pipelle endometrial sampling curette with conventional dilation and curettage (D&C) in patients with abnormal uterine bleeding. Endometrial sampling with the Pipelle curette was performed in 172 and D&C in 97 women.

Endometrial pipelle biopsy compared to conventional dilatation and curettage

Irish Journal of Medical Science, 1997
Dilatation and curettage (D + C) is the most common operation performed in Britain. The liberal use of D + C has been criticised. The objective of this study was to evaluate the use of outpatient endometrial pipelle biopsy and determine its safety in terms of detecting abnormalities. Complications and financial costs were also evaluated.

Comparison of endometrial biopsy with the endometrial pipelle and vabra aspirator

Maturitas, 1988
Endometrial biopsy can be used to evaluate women at high risk for endometrial cancer and to follow women on hormone replacement therapy. Biopsy methods may produce enough pain, however, to lower patient acceptance. The Endometrial Pipelle is a new plastic endometrial suction curette that provides a histologic biopsy. This study compared the performance
