Abnormal 99mTc-PIPIDA scans mistaken for common duct obstruction.
Radiology, 198299mTc-PIPIDA scans were obtained in three patients with acute abdominal pain. The appearance of the scans suggested partial common duct obstruction. Two patients underwent surgery. One had acute appendicitis and the second had infarction of the distal ileum. In both cases, the gallbladder and biliary tract were normal.

The fossil record of the Pipidae
1996Abstract Pipids have a relatively good fossil record, providing evidence of their evolutionary diversification. The oldest remains referred to this well-corroborated monophyletic group are from the Lower Cretaceous (around 120 Ma) of the Near East.

Uptake of Tc-99m-PIPIDA in Pulmonary Metastases from a Hepatoma
Clinical Nuclear Medicine, 1980Metastatic pulmonary nodules from a well-differentiated hepatoma were well demonstrated by a Tc-99m-labeled hepatobiliary imaging agent. Uptake of this type of radionuclide by metastases from a primary hepatic malignancy has not previously been reported.

PIPIDA excretory scintigraphy in the diagnosis of hepatobiliary disorders.
The American journal of gastroenterology, 1981The diagnostic accuracy of hepatobiliary radionuclide imaging using 99mTC-labeled para-isopropyl acetanilido-iminodiacetic acid (99mTc-PIPIDA) in patients with hepatobiliary disorders was assessed in 50 patients. Thirty of the study group were jaundiced; the remaining 20 had other clinical features suggestive of some hepatobiliary disorder.
