High‐entropy materials (HEMs), typically composed of five or more principal elements in near‐equimolar ratios, offer significant potential due to their unique properties. This review outlines the emergence and structural evolution of HEMs, followed by an in‐depth discussion of the elemental roles (active sites, promoters, or stabilizers) for water ...

In-pipe Robotic System for Pipe-joint Rehabilitation in Fresh Water Pipes
The robot's objective is to rehabilitate the pipe joints of fresh water supply systems by crawling into water canals and applying a restoration material to repair the pipes. The robot's structure consists of six wheeled-legs, three on the front separated 120 and three on the back in the same configuration, supporting the structure along the centre of

A technique for making clean holes in metallic piping and components [PDF]
Testing was conducted to develop a technique of providing clean holes in process piping or in a metal surface accessible from one side only without disassembling the system. The method was performed on sample pieces of piping and worked successfully with

Mechanistic Insights into the Surface Instabilities of TiNb2O7, a High‐Power Li‐Ion Anode
TiNb2O7 is an attractive anode for Li‐ion batteries, particularly when safety is of the highest concern. However, despite operating at high potentials, electrolyte degradation is a major concern. It is demonstrated that throughout the entire charge‐discharge cycle a number of surface reactions occur which both produce gas and result in Ti dissolution ...

Viscoelasticity, Lubricity, and Wear Prevention of Cross‐Linked Mucin Gels
Physiologically, biolubrication by mucus reduces friction and protects tissues from tribological stress, with mucins playing a key role. This study compares mucin‐based gels with distinct crosslinking architectures to explore their effect on the lubrication and wear prevention abilities of reconstituted mucin gels.
