Abstract The revision of trinervinol (1) structure, a tricyclic diterpene isolated from Piqueria trinervia cav., led to the modification of the double bond position as well as to the inversion of configuration at glycol and possible hydroxymethylene moieties bearing asymetric carbons. the study was done using 1D and 2D high-resolution NMR.
