The Integer Factorization Algorithm With Pisano Period [PDF]
Large integer factorization is one of the basic issues in number theory and is the subject of this paper. Our research shows that the Pisano period of the product of two prime numbers (or an integer multiple of it) can be derived from the two prime ...

The cyclic codes with parity check polynomial the reciprocal of the characteristic polynomial of the Fibonacci recurrence over a prime finite field are shown to have either one weight or two weights. When these codes are irreducible cyclic we obtain many counterexamples to the conjectural classification of two-weight irreducible cyclic codes of Schmidt

Elementary remarks about Pisano periods
In this short note, we reprove in a very elementary way some known facts about Pisano periods as well as some considerations about the link between Pisano periods and the order of roots of the characteristic equation. The technics only requires a small background in ring theory (merely the definition of a commutative ring).
