2021
The content of pigments and proteins in P. stratiotes is determined. Seventeen amino acids and twelve acylcarnitines are identified and quantified under the action of copper and zinc in the ionic form and in the form of colloidal nanoparticles obtained by metal granules dispersing induced by electric current pulses in water.

Physiological defense and metabolic strategy of Pistia stratiotes in response to zinc-cadmium co-pollution.

Plant physiology and biochemistry : PPB, 2022
Pistia stratiotes is a cadmium (Cd) hyperaccumulating plant with strong bioaccumulation and translocation capacity for Cd. A hydroponic experiment was used to evaluate the combined effect of Zinc (Zn) and Cd at different concentrations on leaf growth and

A steroid from Pistia stratiotes

Phytochemistry, 1991
Abstract A novel stigmastane, 11α-hydroxy-24 S -ethyl-5α-cholest-22-en-3,6-dione, has been isolated from the aquatic plant Pistia stratiotes . The structure determination was accomplished by spectroscopic methods. A revision of the NMR assignments of an analogous cholestane sterol is also reported.

Hyperaccumulation of metal in the apoplast contributes to the tolerance of the phytoremediator Pistia stratiotes L. to manganese-contaminated water

International journal of phytoremediation
Phytoremediation of manganese (Mn)-contaminated water requires the selection of Mn-tolerant species. This study reports on physiological changes and Mn bioaccumulation in the aquatic macrophyte Pistia stratiotes cultivated under various MnCl2 ...

ผลของแสงต่อการดูดซึมสังกะสีด้วยจอก (Pistia stratiotes L.)

2023

Regulation and microbial response mechanism of nitric oxide to copper-containing swine wastewater treated by Pistia stratiotes.

Environmental Pollution
As a signaling molecule, Nitric oxide (NO) has been widely used in abiotic stress mitigation studies.Pistia stratiotes showed a good synergistic removal effect on heavy metals, nitrogen and phosphorus, but the high concentration of copper(Cu) in swine ...

Uranium biosorption by Lemna sp. and Pistia stratiotes

Journal of Environmental Radioactivity, 2019
Biosorption-based technologies have been proposed for the removal of radionuclides from radioactive liquid waste containing organic compounds. Nevertheless, pytoremediation potential of uranium (U) by nonliving aquatic macrophytes Lemna sp. and Pistia stratiotes has not been previously addressed.

Bioremediation of Fishery Waste Using Water Lettuce (Pistia stratiotes L.)

Ecological Chemistry and Engineering S
One of the relatively affordable and safe waste treatment is biological treatment by utilising certain plants as biofilters. The water lettuce (Pistia stratiotes L.) is an aquatic plant that is usually considered a weed by the community. These plants can
