Reservoir‐free cells do not use lithium metal during cell preparation. Instead, lithium is electrodeposited during the initial charging step, potentially simplifying the manufacturing of solid‐state batteries. The electrochemical properties of the electrodeposited lithium layer are governed by its morphology and microstructure. However, little is known

Phase measurement of a segmented wave front using PISton and TILt interferometry (PISTIL).
New architectures for telescopes or powerful lasers require segmented wave front metrology. This paper deals with a new interferometric wave front sensing technique called PISTIL (PISton and TILt), able to recover both piston and tilts of segment beams ...

Metal Sulfides as Potential Materials for Next Generation Lithium Ion Batteries: A Review
The flame spray pyrolysis (FSP) method demonstrates its superiority in fabricating metal sulfide‐based electrodes without inactive materials like organic binders or solvents. The particles are directly deposited and compressed onto the electrode surface, integrating into continuous production.

Optimal Shortcuts to Adiabaticity for a Quantum Piston [PDF]
In this paper we use optimal control to design minimum-time adiabatic-like paths for the expansion of a quantum piston. Under realistic experimental constraints, we calculate the minimum expansion time and compare it with that obtained from a state of the art inverse engineering method.

An experimental flow regime map to dynamically structure gas–solid bubbling fluidized beds
Abstract Employing oscillatory gas flows to create ordered bubble dynamics in fluidized beds represents a promising approach in reactor design, enhancing efficiency, scalability, and control. This study reports an extensive experimental campaign that identifies the operational regime for structuring Geldart B fluidized beds, introducing a novel pattern

Phasing the Giant Magellan Telescope: Lab Experiments and First On-sky Demonstration [PDF]
The large apertures of the upcoming generation of Giant Segmented Mirror Telescopes will enable unprecedented angular resolutions that scale as $\propto$ $\lambda$/D and higher sensitivities that scale as $D^4$ for point sources corrected by adaptive optics.
