The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1986In previous studies we have reported long-lasting changes in the pitch of a complex sound following its association with a sound of a different pitch. The present study concerned whether a sound altered in pitch would show pitch adaptation effects commensurate with its pitch or frequency status.
