Pitchfork Bifurcations of Invariant Manifolds [PDF]
A pitchfork bifurcation of an $(m-1)$-dimensional invariant submanifold of a dynamical system in $\mathbb{R}^m$ is defined analogous to that in $\mathbb{R}$. Sufficient conditions for such a bifurcation to occur are stated and existence of the bifurcated manifolds is proved under the stated hypotheses.

A class of discrete dynamical systems is introduced to unify various dynamical systems that appeared in the study of phase transition phenomenon of Ising model on the Cayley tree. We give an alternative method to study the stable fixed points of these dynamical systems.
