Cluster singularity: the unfolding of clustering behavior in globally coupled Stuart-Landau oscillators

open access: yes, 2019
The ubiquitous occurrence of cluster patterns in nature still lacks a comprehensive understanding. It is known that the dynamics of many such natural systems is captured by ensembles of Stuart-Landau oscillators.

Decoding regulatory programs underlying placode and dermal condensate cell fate commitment during hair follicle induction via single‐cell multi‐omics analysis

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
The experimental framework of the study encompasses sample collection, single‐cell data analysis, and experimental validation. Abstract Understanding differences in chromatin state and changes in gene regulatory landscape of placode (Pc) and dermal condensate are crucial for decoding hair follicle (HF) morphogenesis programs.

Homoclinic Bifurcations for the Henon Map

open access: yes, 1999
Chaotic dynamics can be effectively studied by continuation from an anti-integrable limit. We use this limit to assign global symbols to orbits and use continuation from the limit to study their bifurcations.

Two pitchfork bifurcations in the polar quadratic Zeeman-Stark effect

open access: yesPhysics Letters A, 1998
In the framework of classical mechanics, a study of the hydrogen atom in the presence of parallel electric and magnetic fields is presented when the magnetic quantum number m is zero. By means of perturbation methods and Poincaré surfaces of section, the existence of the three states experimentally detected by Cacciani et al.

The issues caused by misinformation—How workers and organizations deal with it: A systematic literature review

open access: yesJournal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, EarlyView.
Abstract In today's digital age, misinformation propagates rapidly through digital channels, blurring the lines between truth and fiction, and challenging the foundations of trust in information sources. Although affecting all spheres of life, misinformation poses a significant threat to workers highlighting a critical intersection between ...

The geometry of bifurcation surfaces in parameter space. I. A walk through the pitchfork [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1999
The classical pitchfork of singularity theory is a twice-degenerate bifurcation that typically occurs in dynamical system models exhibiting Z_2 symmetry. Non-classical pitchfork singularities also occur in many non-symmetric systems, where the total bifurcation environment is usually more complex.

The pitchfork bifurcation and vibrational resonance in a quintic oscillator

open access: yesActa Physica Sinica, 2013
The pitchfork bifurcation and vibrational resonance are investigated in this paper. Based on the method of separating slow motion from fast motion, the equivalent equation to the slow motion is obtained. Then, the pitchfork bifurcation is studied. The results show that the amplitude of the high-frequency signal can induce the subcritical pitchfork ...

Investigation of the Molecular Level Interaction in [CH3OH−CH2X2] Complexes (X=I, Br, and Cl) using Matrix‐Isolation IR Spectroscopy

open access: yesChemistry – An Asian Journal, Volume 20, Issue 6, March 17, 2025.
In CH2X2 (X=Cl, Br, and I) molecules, the magnitude of σ‐hole on the X atom decreases from CH2I2 to CH2Cl2 . Three different types of interactions i. e., C−X⋅⋅⋅O halogen bond, and C−H⋅⋅⋅O and O−H⋅⋅⋅X hydrogen bond, are possible in [CH3OH−CH2X2] complexes.

Establishing a 3D Vascularized Tri‐Culture Model of the Human Airways via a Digital Light Processing Bioprinter

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The rise in chronic lung diseases globally and the corresponding lag in drug discovery in this field highlights the need for In Vitro models closely mimicking In Vivo lung tissue. Efforts to date have largely focused on In Vitro coculture models, often neglecting the pulmonary vasculature's role in lung physiology and lacking perfusability. To
