Morphometric and Paleobiological Insights Into Pleistocene Sicilian Wolf Populations
ABSTRACT The Pleistocene wolves (Canis lupus) from Sicily represent one of the few known insular populations of this species from that time period. Despite their potential relevance for understanding carnivore adaptations in insular contexts, no dedicated study has previously investigated their morphology and evolutionary significance.

Business ethics, law and zemiology: The criminology of social and environmental harm
Abstract This speculative paper introduces zemiology, an extension of radical criminology which explores why many ‘crimes’ are not ‘illegal’ by focussing on the problem of ‘social harm’. Zemiology insists that we should begin with social or environmental problems, and not allow their foreclosure by the distraction of whether a particular practice is ...

The state of modelling face processing in humans with deep learning
Abstract Deep learning models trained for facial recognition now surpass the highest performing human participants. Recent evidence suggests that they also model some qualitative aspects of face processing in humans. This review compares the current understanding of deep learning models with psychological models of the face processing system ...

Mapping British Latinx Writing
There are an estimated quarter of a million Latin Americans living in the UK, yet they remain outside the British national imaginary. This invisibility has historically extended to the literary scene and publishing industry, with only very few British‐based Latin American and Latinx writers gaining any exposure.

High‐resolution LiDAR data with field validation of inferred southern Ontario ice stream terrains indicate that steady‐state ice streaming is difficult to reconcile with our observations. Rather, these new observations show strong evidence of significant fluvial scouring across the area in which meltwater sheet flow overtopped the landscape.

Review of the tetrapod skull–neck boundary: implications for the evolution of the atlas–axis complex
ABSTRACT This review describes variation in modern and fossil occiput–atlas–axis complex anatomy of total group Tetrapoda with the aim of documenting the range of structural variation throughout their evolutionary history to establish grounds for comparison of the complex between tetrapod clades.

The Role of Histone Methyltransferase SETDB1 in Normal and Malignant Hematopoiesis
In this review, we discuss the role of SETDB1 in gene regulation, including an overview of its structural features and key cofactors. We also highlight the lineage‐specific roles of SETDB1 in both normal hematopoietic processes and hematological malignancies, emphasizing its function as an immune checkpoint molecule that suppresses natural killer cell ...
