Acoustic Sensing as a Tool for Brain Tumor Diagnostics

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, Volume 5, Issue 2, February 2026.
Surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensing is used to distinguish non‐neoplastic brain tissue from primary and metastatic tumors based on their acoustic attenuation signatures. Ex vivo human brain samples reveal clear tissue‐specific mechanical profiles, correlating with stiffness and malignancy.

A Patient‐Derived Organoid Biobank of Adamantinomatous Craniopharyngioma as a Platform for Drug Discovery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 7, 3 February 2026.
This study successfully establishes adamantinomatous craniopharyngioma (ACP) patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) that preserve the histopathological and genetic features of the original tumors. Through drug sensitivity assays and subsequent mechanistic analyses, the study demonstrates that Ceritinib exerts its inhibitory effects on ACP PDO growth by ...

TBX3‐ Related Disorder

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, Volume 200, Issue 2, Page 291-299, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Heterozygous pathogenic variants in TBX3 cause Ulnar‐Mammary syndrome (UMS). The phenotype is classically characterized by upper limb defects, apocrine/mammary gland hypoplasia, hypogonadism, and various midline defects. However, the clinical spectrum is highly variable, and some individuals may present with a mild or atypical presentation ...

Lipopolysaccharide Upregulates Neuroinflammation, Oxidative Stress Responses, and Peroxiredoxins in Depression Models

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2026.
Peroxiredoxins exhibited upregulated expression during the progression of lipopolysaccharide‐induced depression companied with neuroinflammatory and oxidative stress responses, suggesting peroxiredoxins might serve as novel strategies for the treatment of depression.

Decoding Causal Associations Between Neuropsychiatric Disorders and Rotator Cuff Tendinopathy: A Two‐Sample Mendelian Randomization Study

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2026.
Key findings from our study revealed that ADHD and PTSD are independent genetic risk factors for RCT in European populations after ruling out potential influence from body shape, lifestyle, socioeconomic status, and physical activity intensity Abstract Background Rotator cuff tendinopathy (RCT) is a major contributor to over 30 million surgeries which ...
