Pityriasis Rubra Pilaris

Pityriasis rubra pilaris (PRP) is a rare inflammatory dermatosis of unknown etiology characterized by distinctive clinical lesions including red-orange plaques (“salmon colored”) with fine scale, hyperkeratotic fissuring lesions of the palmoplantar surfaces, and follicular hyperketatotic papules (“nutmeg grater”). An uncommon cause of erythroderma.
