Painleve equations from Darboux chains - Part 1: P3-P5

open access: yes, 2003
We show that the Painleve equations P3-P5 can be derived (in a unified way) from a periodic sequence of Darboux transformations for a Schrodinger problem with quadratic eigenvalue dependency.

Review of recent trends of advancements in multilevel inverter topologies with reduced power switches and control techniques

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, EarlyView.
Some of the topologies with a fewer number of power switches are reviewed and scrutinized. An extensive analysis of the topologies, control strategy and applications are presented here, suggesting suitable multilevel inverter solutions to the known industrial application or new research.

Derivation of Predicted Pressure Drop Equation on Granular Particle Plug Transportation in Horizontal Pipe

open access: yesJournal of Fluid Science and Technology, 2008
In a plug transportation that is one of gas-solid two-phase flows, the prediction equations on particle velocity within a plug and pressure drop in a horizontal pipe have been formulated.

PIV measurements of the effect of pulsed blowing jet on a NACA0012 wing model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Wingtip vortices are present in taking off, and landing operations and their presence in airport runways must be reduced. To that end, several strategies have been considered in the last decades, being the active control one possible technical solution ...

Comparison of Pulse-Burst PIV Data to Simultaneous Conventional PIV Data

open access: yes54th AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting, 2016
Time-resolved particle image velocimetry (PIV) using a pulse-burst laser has been acquired of a supersonic jet issuing into a Mach 0.8 crossflow. Simultaneously, the final pulse pair in each burst has been imaged using conventional PIV cameras to produce an independent two-component measurement and two stereoscopic measurements.

A Multi‐Institutional Retrospective Study of 21 Dogs Having Undergone Hypofractionated Radiotherapy for Adrenal Tumours (2017–2024)

open access: yesVeterinary and Comparative Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Radiation therapy (RT) has emerged as a promising non‐surgical approach for treating canine adrenal tumours. This multi‐institutional, retrospective study describes clinical outcomes for 21 dogs having been prescribed a course of hypofractionated image‐guided intensity‐modulated RT (IMRT) entailing delivery of 25–35 Gy total in 5 fractions ...

Performance analysis of an undershot cross-flow water turbine based on the flow near the runner

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2016
Since the great east Japan earthquake in 2011, renewable energy is turned into importance. Hydro power is one of most important energies because it is not affected by weather condition and possible to generate steady quantity electric power, so it could ...

Temporal Changes in Fetal and Maternal Parameters in Early‐Onset Fetal Growth Restriction: A Multicenter, Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesBJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics &Gynaecology, Volume 133, Issue 4, Page 671-679, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective(s) Timing of birth is complex in early‐onset fetal growth restriction (FGR) and the literature is limited regarding the exact sequence of changes in antenatal parameters. This study aimed to examine this sequence in a large early‐onset FGR cohort. Design Multicenter, retrospective cohort study.
