Background This study aimed to investigate the association of pan-immune-inflammation value (PIV), PIV/HDL-C (high-density lipoprotein cholesterol), PIV*LDL-C (low-density lipoprotein cholesterol) with the prognosis of patients with acute coronary ...

Non-hermitian Hamiltonians and Painlev\'e IV equation with real parameters
In this letter we will use higher-order supersymmetric quantum mechanics to obtain several families of complex solutions of the Painleve IV equation with real parameters.

Optical study of flow and combustion in an HCCI engine with negative valve overlap [PDF]
One of the most widely used methods to enable Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) combustion is using negative valve overlapping to trap a sufficient quantity of hot residual gas. The characteristics of air motion with specially designed valve

ABSTRACT Cooperativity between cytoskeletal proteins is crucial for spatiotemporal coordination in biological processes, like oogenesis. In mammalian and Drosophila oogenesis, proper assembly and function of actin networks require coordination between actin assembly factors Spire and formins, as well as actin‐associated proteins like myosins and Rab ...

From Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells to Folliculogenesis: What About Vasorin?
First described in 1988, vasorin (VASN) is a transmembrane glycoprotein expressed during early mouse development, and with a less extent, in various organs and tissues (e.g., kidney, aorta, and brain) postnatally.

Invariance of regularity conditions under definable, locally Lipschitz, weakly bi-Lipschitz mappings
In this paper we describe the notion of a weak lipschitzianity of a mapping on a $C^{q}$ stratification. We also distinguish a class of regularity conditions that are in some sense invariant under definable, locally Lipschitz and weakly bi-Lipschitz ...

The vector form factor of the pion from unitarity and analyticity: a model-independent approach [PDF]
We study a model-independent parameterization of the vector pion form factor that arises from the constraints of analyticity and unitarity. Our description should be suitable up to sqrt(s) ~ 1.2 GeV and allows a model-independent determination of the ...

Ultrasound PIV Uncertainty Quantification
Ultrasound Particle image velocimetry (UPIV) is a non-invasive flow measurement technique where acousticopaque flow tracers are injected into a working fluid and ensonified to create ultrasound images. These images are processed using PIV cross-correlation based algorithms to measure the velocity field (Kim et al., 2004).

Overnight Monitoring After T&A for Children Ages 24–36 Months: Is It Always Necessary?
This study aims to identify whether all children < 3 years of age require overnight admission after tonsillectomy with or without adenoidectomy. We found that 98.7% of children who were off oxygen within 3 h after surgery never went back on oxygen during the entire monitoring period.

Laser‐Driven Halide Exchange and High‐Resolution Multicolor Patterning of Perovskite Films
ABSTRACT Translating the excellent properties of metal halide perovskites (MHPs) into practical flexible optoelectronic devices requires high‐resolution multicolor patterning techniques that are compatible with post‐fabrication processing. However, such a capability has remained elusive.
