Depth discontinuities by pixel-to-pixel stereo [PDF]

open access: yesSixth International Conference on Computer Vision (IEEE Cat. No.98CH36271), 1999
An algorithm to detect depth discontinuities from a stereo pair of images is presented. The algorithm matches individual pixels in corresponding scanline pairs while allowing occluded pixels to remain unmatched, then propagates the information between scanlines by means of a fast postprocessor.

A Novel Dehazing Algorithm Based on Median Guide Filter for Traffic Video [PDF]

open access: yesXibei Gongye Daxue Xuebao, 2018
Aiming at the problem that the edge preserving effect of the existing improved bilateral filtering algorithm in the process of dealing with the haze weather traffic images is not ideal, and the algorithm is time consuming and computationally inefficient,

Guided Super-Resolution As Pixel-to-Pixel Transformation [PDF]

open access: yes2019 IEEE/CVF International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV), 2019
Guided super-resolution is a unifying framework for several computer vision tasks where the inputs are a low-resolution source image of some target quantity (e.g., perspective depth acquired with a time-of-flight camera) and a high-resolution guide image from a different domain (e.g., a grey-scale image from a conventional camera); and the target ...

Educating pixel by pixel

open access: yes, 2022

Temperature Sensors Integrated into a CMOS Image Sensor

open access: yesProceedings, 2017
In this work, a novel approach is presented for measuring relative temperature variations inside the pixel array of a CMOS image sensor itself. This approach can give important information when compensation for dark (current) fixed pattern noise (FPN) is

PixelNet: Representation of the pixels, by the pixels, and for the pixels

open access: yesCoRR, 2017
We explore design principles for general pixel-level prediction problems, from low-level edge detection to mid-level surface normal estimation to high-level semantic segmentation. Convolutional predictors, such as the fully-convolutional network (FCN), have achieved remarkable success by exploiting the spatial redundancy of neighboring pixels through ...
