Plasma modification of poly lactic acid solutions to generate high quality electrospun PLA nanofibers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Physical properties of pre-electrospinning polymer solutions play a key role in electrospinning as they strongly determine the morphology of the obtained electrospun nanofibers. In this work, an atmospheric-pressure argon plasma directly submerged in the

Electrospun Thymosin Beta-4 Loaded PLGA/PLA Nanofiber/ Microfiber Hybrid Yarns for Tendon Tissue Engineering Application [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Microfiber yarns (MY) have been widely employed to construct tendon tissue grafts. However, suboptimal ultrastructure and inappropriate environments for cell interactions limit their clinical application.

Oxidative degradation of polylactide (PLA) and its effects on physical and mechanical properties [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The thermo-oxidative degradation of polylactide (PLA) films was studied between 70 and 150 C. It was shown that the oxidative degradation of PLA leads to a random chain cission responsible for a reduction of the molar mass.

Investigation on compatibility of PLA/PBAT blends modified by epoxy-terminated branched polymers through chemical micro-crosslinking

open access: yese-Polymers, 2020
In this study, a type of epoxy-terminated branched polymer (ETBP) was used as an interface compati- bilizer to modify the poly lactic acid (PLA)/poly(butylene adipate-co-butylene terephthalate) (PBAT) (70/30) blends. Upon addition of ETBP, the difference

Perturbing PLA

open access: yesJournal d'Analyse Mathématique, 2013
We proved earlier that every measurable function on the circle, after a uniformly small perturbation, can be written as a power series (i.e. a series of exponentials with positive frequencies), which converges almost everywhere. Here we show that this result is basically sharp: the perturbation cannot be made smooth or even H lder.

Learning and Work: Professional Learning Analytics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Learning for work takes various forms, from formal training to informal learning through work activities. In many work settings, professionals collaborate via networked environments leaving various forms of digital traces and “clickstream” data.

Product line architecture recovery with outlier filtering in software families: the Apo-Games case study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Software product line (SPL) approach has been widely adopted to achieve systematic reuse in families of software products. Despite its benefits, developing an SPL from scratch requires high up-front investment.

Interactions, structure and properties in poly(lactic acid)/thermoplastic polymer blends [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Blends were prepared from poly(lactic acid) (PLA) and three thermoplastics, polystyrene (PS), polycarbonate (PC) and poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA). Rheological and mechanical properties, structure and component interactions were determined by various ...
