Integrated use of residues from olive mill and winery for lipase production by solid state fermentation with Aspergillus sp [PDF]
Two phase olive mill waste (TPOMW) is presently the major waste produced by the olive mill industry. This waste has potential to be used as substrate for solid state fermentation (SSF) despite of its high concentration of phenolic compounds and low ...

A high‐yield paired electrosynthesis of ethylene glycol from formaldehyde and methanol at current densities up to 350 mA cm−2 is demonstrated. The presented method utilizes inexpensive graphite electrodes in either batch or flow cell and 2,2,6,6‐tetramethylpiperidin‐1‐yl)oxyl (TEMPO) as a redox mediator.

A Plackett-Burman Design to Optimize Wood Chipper Settings
The wood-chipping process is affected by several factors, notably chipper settings and wood characteristics. It is often difficult to test all of these factors in a full factorial experimental plan, due to the large number of trials required.

Screen-printed electrode based electrochemical detector coupled with ionic liquid dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction and microvolume back-extraction for determination of mercury in water samples [PDF]
A novel approach is presented, whereby gold nanostructured screen-printed carbon electrodes (SPCnAuEs) are combined with in-situ ionic liquid formation dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction (in-situ IL-DLLME) and microvolume back-extraction for the ...

A four‐run orthogonal array for three two‐level factors. ABSTRACT Orthogonal arrays are arguably one of the most fascinating and important statistical tools for efficient data collection. They have a simple, natural definition, desirable properties when used as fractional factorials, and a rich and beautiful mathematical theory.
