The skull base in plagiocephaly
Child's Nervous System, 1994Between 1975 and 1992, 426 children with craniofacial malformations were treated in the Department of Pediatric Neurosurgery at the Hôpital des Enfants de la Timone in Marseille. Treatment of Plagiocephaly in Infancy*
Southern Medical Journal, 1987Plagiocephaly is commonly attributed to the synostosis of a single coronal suture. Esthetic deformities associated with plagiocephaly range from mild to severe. Because the deformities are progressive, and more difficult to correct in older children and adults, early diagnosis and correction are important.

Management of positional plagiocephaly
Archives of Disease in Childhood, 2008Plagiocephaly is a term derived from the Greek (plagios– “twisted” and kephale– “head”) and describes an asymmetric head shape. HEAD MOULDING FOR PLAGIOCEPHALY
Archives of Disease in Childhood, 2008Singh and Wacogne are to be congratulated on a succinct and well researched account of the current evidence for and against helmet moulding therapy.1 They have highlighted the preponderance of uncontrolled cohort studies in this field and the absence of evidence one way or the other for this treatment due to lack of randomised controlled trials (RCTs).
