Design and optimization of a planar UWB antenna
East-West Design & Test Symposium (EWDTS 2013), 2013In this paper, we present our design on a simple, low-profile wideband planar antenna with a pure circular radiator fed by a 50Ω microstrip line. By investigating the feeding position and ground plane dimensions, the antenna is optimized to have a very wide bandwidth that covers the whole FCC-allocated ultra-wideband (UWB) spectrum.

Ultrawideband planar antennas and antenna arrays
2012 6th International Conference on Ultrawideband and Ultrashort Impulse Signals, 2012The paper presents analysis of signals and planar monopole pulse antennas and antenna arrays designed for work in ultrawideband (UWB) frequency band 3.1–10.6GHz. A complex approach to design, synthesis and optimization of UWB antennas is proposed. Frequency and time characteristics of UWB signals, designed single and two-element antennas, results of ...

Planar antenna for LTE communication module
2014 IEEE 3rd Global Conference on Consumer Electronics (GCCE), 2014A planar antenna for the long term evolution (LTE) communication module is suggested and examined. A meander pattern is added to the planar antenna, and the return loss characteristic and the radiation patterns in the frequency band of 800MHz are improved. The high values of the absolute gains are obtained in the frequency bands, from 824MHz to 900MHz,

Investigation on L‐shaped planar antennas
Radio Science, 2004An L‐shaped planar antenna is investigated numerically and validated experimentally. The effect of varying the ratio of the height of vertical segment to the length of horizontal segment is examined in relation to the impedance bandwidth, radiation pattern, and mode of operation.

Multiband planar antenna for wireless LAN
2015 IEEE 4th Global Conference on Consumer Electronics (GCCE), 2015A new multiband planar antenna for wireless LAN is proposed and examined, compared with the conventional antenna, FML2.4W. From the results, the maximum values of the absolute gain for the proposed antenna are equal to or higher than those for FML2.4W in two frequency bands, from 2.4GHz to 2.5GHz, from 5.2GHz to 5.8GHz.

New design planar antenna for WLAN
2017 IEEE 6th Global Conference on Consumer Electronics (GCCE), 2017A new design planar antenna for WLAN is proposed in order to prevent an artificial communication failure. It is a simple and downsized shape. Also, it is hard to be found because its shape is far from that of an ordinary planar antenna. The maximum and average values of the absolute gains for the prototype antenna are high enough to be commercialized ...

Planar microstrip diplexer for multifunctional antenna
33rd European Microwave Conference Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.03EX723C), 2003A compact wide-band microstrip diplexer working in the 0.9/spl divide/2.5 GHz frequency range is presented. This component is a key part of the feeding network of a multifunctional antenna, working at five frequency bands associated to terrestrial and satellite radio services.

A new balanced UWB planar antenna
2005 European Microwave Conference, 2005In this paper, a new balanced planar antenna for UWB applications is proposed. Firstly, a novel uniplanar broadband balun transition is presented, which can either be used as a microstrip-to-microstrip or a microstrip-to-CPS transition. The proposed balun transition consists of a section of asymmetrical tapered edge coupled transmission lines to ...

Planar Triorthogonal Diversity Slot Antenna
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2017This communication proposes an easily manufacturable multifunction multiport planar slot antenna with triorthogonal pattern diversity. Distinct radiation patterns are emitted via a common square radiative slot by exploiting three orthogonal modes. These slot modes consist of a magnetic current loop mode with an omnidirectional linearly polarized (OLP ...
