Planar graph is on fire

open access: yesTheoretical Computer Science, 2015
Let $G$ be any connected graph on $n$ vertices, $n \ge 2.$ Let $k$ be any positive integer. Suppose that a fire breaks out on some vertex of $G.$ Then in each turn $k$ firefighters can protect vertices of $G$ --- each can protect one vertex not yet on fire; Next a fire spreads to all unprotected neighbours.

Planar domination graphs

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 2003
AbstractA graph G is a domination graph if each induced subgraph of G has a pair of vertices such that the open neighborhood of one is contained in the closed neighborhood of the other in the subgraph. No polynomial time algorithm or hardness result is known for the problem of deciding whether a graph is a domination graph.

Tropically planar graphs [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
We study tropically planar graphs, which are the graphs that appear in smooth tropical plane curves. We develop necessary conditions for graphs to be tropically planar, and compute the number of tropically planar graphs up to genus $7$. We provide non-trivial upper and lower bounds on the number of tropically planar graphs, and prove that ...

Bioresorbable and Wireless Rechargeable Implanted Na‐ion Battery for Temporary Medical Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐solid‐state bioresorbable Na‐ion battery is developed, composed entirely of bio‐eliminable materials. In vivo and ex vivo tests confirmed harmless disintegration of this implanted battery. Lifetime of the implanted battery can be precisely controlled by adjusting the dissolvable encapsulation layer's thickness.

Biomimetic Design of Biocompatible Neural Probes for Deep Brain Signal Monitoring and Stimulation: Super Static Interface for Immune Response‐Enhanced Contact

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ultrathin, flexible neural probes are developed with an innovative, biomimetic design incorporating brain tissue‐compatible materials. The material system employs biomolecule‐based encapsulation agents to mitigate inflammatory responses, as demonstrated through comprehensive in vitro and in vivo studies.

Wearable Haptic Feedback Interfaces for Augmenting Human Touch

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The wearable haptic feedback interfaces enhance user experience in gaming, social media, biomedical instrumentation, and robotics by generating tactile sensations. This review discusses and categorizes current haptic feedback interfaces into force, thermal, and electrotactile stimulation‐based haptic feedback interfaces, elucidating their current ...

Various heuristic algorithms to minimise the two-page crossing numbers of graphs

open access: yesOpen Computer Science, 2015
We propose several new heuristics for the twopage book crossing problem, which are based on recent algorithms for the corresponding one-page problem. Especially, the neural network model for edge allocation is combined for the first time with various one-

Planar graphs as L-intersection or L-contact graphs [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
The L-intersection graphs are the graphs that have a representation as intersection graphs of axis parallel shapes in the plane. A subfamily of these graphs are {L, |, --}-contact graphs which are the contact graphs of axis parallel L, |, and -- shapes in the plane. We prove here two results that were conjectured by Chaplick and Ueckerdt in 2013.

Time‐Controlled Dual Targeting to Program Systemic and Intercellular Transfer of Therapeutic Effects

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Aspirin‐liposomes loaded onto monocytes enable inflammation‐triggered targeting and efficient hand‐over of aspirin to inflamed cells. Monocytes uptake a significant portion of aspirin‐liposomes, prolonging therapeutic action. This approach enhances anti‐inflammatory effects through intercellular transfer, demonstrating a translational strategy for ...
