Simultaneous Drawing of Planar Graphs with Right-Angle Crossings and Few Bends
Given two planar graphs that are defined on the same set of vertices, a RAC simultaneous drawing is a drawing of the two graphs where each graph is drawn planar, no two edges overlap, and edges of one graph can cross edges of the other graph only ...

A new phase‐change material encapsulated membrane offers more thermal resilience stability and safety than the conventional separators for batteries. ABSTRACT Thermal runaway in lithium‐ion batteries arises from the intrinsic coupling between heat generation and ion transport, yet conventional shutdown separators primarily rely on passive pore collapse

Pathwidth of 2-Layer k-Planar Graphs
A bipartite graph G = (X ∪ Y, E) is a 2-layer k-planar graph if it admits a drawing on the plane such that the vertices in X and Y are placed on two parallel lines respectively, edges are drawn as straight-line segments, and every edge involves at most ...

Bio‐Inspired Artificial Ionic Mechanoreceptor
A skin‐inspired artificial mechanoreceptor based on ionic interactions is presented for biomimetic tactile sensing. Pressure‐driven ionic redistribution within microfluidic channels generates a self‐powered electrical signal without external bias. The generated waveform exhibits mechanoreceptor‐like temporal features, including overshoot and undershoot,

We study the computational complexity of the map redistricting problem (gerrymandering). Mathematically, the electoral district designer (gerrymanderer) attempts to partition a weighted graph into k connected components (districts) such that its candidate (party) wins as many districts as possible. Prior work has principally concerned the special cases

Exchange‐Coupled Two‐Dimensional MOFs
Graphene mediates ferromagnetic coupling between two‐dimensional metal‐organic frameworks and cobalt. Fe‐tetracyanobenzene develops a remanent magnetic response whose orientation follows the cobalt magnetization direction and persists up to room temperature, whereas Ni‐TCNB remains only field‐polarized.

We introduce a new type of graph drawing called "rook-drawing". A rook-drawing of a graph $G$ is obtained by placing the $n$ nodes of $G$ on the intersections of a regular grid, such that each row and column of the grid supports exactly one node.

This study advances SafeWax, a bio‐inspired, fatty‐acids‐based superhydrophobic coating, by identifying an agriculturally compliant solvent and revealing how solvent‐controlled Fatty acid crystallization governs the coating's microscopic structure and performance.

Graph Drawing Techniques for Geographic Visualization [PDF]
Geovisualizers often need to represent data that consists of items related together. Such data sets can be abstracted to a mathematical structure, the graph.
