Infinitesimal F-planar transformations

Russian Mathematics, 2008
Let us consider a symmetric linear connection and \(F\), a tensor field of \((1,1)\)-type on a manifold \(A_n\). An infinitesimal transformation of \(A_n\) is called \(F\)-\textit{planar} it it maps \(F\)-planar curves onto curves which are \(F\)-planar in their principal parts.

Planarization by transformation

IEEE Transactions on Circuit Theory, 1973
A new approach to star-polygon transformations is introduced. For star-connected R -networks and for a certain class of polygon-connected R -networks the "terminal value" is defined. This concept allows for an elegant derivation of the necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a polygon-into-star transformation.

Electroplated planar transformers

XI Brazilian Power Electronics Conference, 2011
Planar transformers are ideal for power electronic applications where high-density energy processing capabilities and low energy losses are required, however, ferrite core weight and volume are still an issue in some applications, e.g. very thin-profile boards and planar assemblies.

Monolithic micromachined planar spiral transformer

GaAs IC Symposium. IEEE Gallium Arsenide Integrated Circuit Symposium. 20th Annual. Technical Digest 1998 (Cat. No.98CH36260), 2002
Micromachined microwave passive devices have been successfully fabricated in a standard GaAs HEMT MMIC technology, through a straightforward, low-cost, maskless front-side bulk micromachining. Planar spiral inductors with the strips suspended individually have been possible because of the small 'open area' dimensions, needed to etch away some portions ...

Planar impedance transformer

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1999
A transformer with two overlapping windings etched on either side of a planar substrate is presented in this paper. It performs an impedance transformation with a 3.3 ratio within a small area. A simple model is derived, based on well-known formulas for transmission lines and inductance factors of multiple conductors. Magnetic and electric coupling are

High-frequency planar power transformers

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 1992
High-frequency transformer design using the transmission line transformer (TLT) is described. Utilizing transmission line circuit theory, the characteristics of the TLT for different turn ratios are given, and its advantages, including its wideband nature, are discussed. TLT prototypes with turn ratios of 2:1, 3:1, and 5:1 were designed and fabricated.

Thermal characterisation of planar transformers

27th International Spring Seminar on Electronics Technology: Meeting the Challenges of Electronics Technology Progress, 2004., 2005
Planar inductors and transformers are widely used today in various electronic applications either as stand alone devices or integrated in the printed circuit board (PCB) of the electronic assembly. In the frame of co-operation the Slovenian partner in a bilateral Romanian-Slovenian co-operation has presented an idea regarding the development of a DC/DC
