Structures and characteristics of planar transformers.

open access: yesJournal of the Magnetics Society of Japan, 1988
The integration of inductors and transformers is necessary for the miniaturization of electrical devices. We have studied micro-magnetic devices such as planar inductors. A planar inductor consists of a planar coil, a magnetic film and an insulator and is fabricated on a substrate by the thin film technique.

A Magnetic Integration Half-Turn Planar Transformer and its Analysis for LLC Resonant DC-DC Converters

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
A high frequency planar transformer with integrated leakage inductance and half-turn secondary windings is proposed for LLC isolated DC-DC converters. The primary windings are wound on both the center leg and the sides leg of an EI planar ferrite core to

Conception of High-Frequency Power Planar Transformer Prototypes Based on FabLab Platform

open access: yesElectricity, 2021
Conceiving planar magnetic components for power electronic converters is very constraining, especially in the case of prototype development. Indeed, such making requires skills, specific appliances as well as human time for setting up the machine tools ...

Analytical Modeling and Design of 27.12 MHz Single-Switch DC–DC Converter With PCB Transformer

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
This paper proposes analytical modeling and design of a 27.12 MHz single-switch dc-dc converter with galvanic isolation using a PCB transformer. The ODE-based analytical approach provides a more accurate circuit design by considering the high-order ...

A comprehensive design approach for a three‐winding planar transformer

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2022
In this paper, a new three‐winding planar transformer design with the integrated leakage inductor is proposed for a triple‐active‐bridge converter. It enables two output voltage levels: a high voltage (HV) output port and a low voltage (LV) output port ...

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Intrapatient tumour heterogeneity and clonal evolution in an autopsy study of metastatic salivary gland cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumour heterogeneity and clonal evolution of metastatic salivary gland cancer were evaluated in two patients with adenoid carcinoma and one patient with myoepithelial carcinoma. Radiology‐guided autopsy enabled multi‐region sampling (total samples n = 149), followed by whole‐genome sequencing and phylogenetic reconstruction (17 tumour samples, 4–7 per ...

FEA‐Based Optimisation of an Inserted‐Shunt Integrated Planar Transformer for a Bidirectional CLLLC Resonant Converter

open access: yesIET Power Electronics
This paper presents an optimisation method for an inserted‐shunt integrated planar transformer based on 3D simulation in Ansys Maxwell. The optimisation objective is enhanced efficiency and power density for the transformer. Thermal analysis verifies the
