On the planarity of the k-zero-divisor hypergraphs
Let R be a commutative ring with identity and let Z(R,k) be the set of all k-zero-divisors in R and k>2 an integer. The k-zero-divisor hypergraph of R, denoted by Hk(R), is a hypergraph with vertex set Z(R,k), and for distinct element x1,x2,…,xk in Z(R,k)

Tailoring Functional Properties of Ti–Ni–Cu Shape Memory Alloy Thin Films for MEMS Actuators
A comprehensive study of critical parameters required to develop well‐performing Ti–Ni–Cu thin film shape memory alloy microactuators is provided. Materials science and device integration aspects are integrated by addressing structural and physical relationships using complementary characterization techniques as well as a practical fabrication solution

Creep Properties and Deformation Mechanism of Additively Manufactured NiAl‐CrMo Composites
Additively manufactured NiAl‐CrMo composites contain numerous interfaces and cell boundaries that control their creep response. At 700°C under high applied stress, creep is dominated by dislocation‐controlled power‐law mechanisms. At 800°C–900°C and lower stresses, creep is primarily diffusion‐controlled along cell boundaries.

In Situ Micromechanical Study of Bimodal γ′–γ″ Precipitate Assemblies in Ni–Cr–Al–Nb Superalloy
A Ni–Cr–Al–Nb superalloy with a bimodal γ′–γ″ precipitate distribution is developed. Composite precipitate assemblies form through heterogeneous nucleation, effectively impeding dislocation motion. Micropillar compression reveals high strength at room and elevated temperatures, governed by precipitate shearing, with coupled faulting mechanisms ...

We study straight-line drawings of graphs where the vertices are placed in convex position in the plane, i.e., convex drawings. We consider two families of graph classes with convex drawings: outer $k$-planar graphs, where each edge is crossed by at ...

Stacked planar optics: an application of the planar microlens
In this paper we present a new development of the distributed-index planar microlens of 2.5-3-mm focal length and 0.15 N.A. and also show that it is usable with optical components in fiber communications. We then propose a concept of stacked planar optics consisting of a stack of arrayed planar microlenses and other optical components.
