Geometry of Curves with Fractional Derivatives in Lorentz Plane
In this paper, the geometry of curves is discussed based on the Caputo fractional derivative in the Lorentz plane. Firstly, the tangent vector of a spacelike plane curve is defined in terms of the fractional derivative.

The Noncommutative Geometry of the Quantum Projective Plane [PDF]
We study the spectral geometry of the quantum projective plane CP^2_q, a deformation of the complex projective plane CP^2, the simplest example of a spin^c manifold which is not spin.

Reaction plane alignment with linearly polarized photon in heavy-ion collisions
The collective observables play critical roles in probing the properties of quark-gluon-plasma created in relativistic heavy-ion collisions, in which the information on initial collision geometry is crucial. However, the initial collision geometry, e.g.,

Emergent bubbling geometries in the plane wave matrix model [PDF]
The gravity dual geometry of the plane wave matrix model is given by the bubbling geometry in the type IIA supergravity, which is described by an axially symmetric electrostatic system.

Plane and Solid Geometry [PDF]
THIS is an excellent work for all young students who wish to begin the study of geometry. In its order of treatment it completely ignores Euclid, and thus saves the young pupil from a long and wearisome waste of time, giving him clearly and rapidly a knowledge of the subject and an insight into its nature and purpose. We wish that the English schoolboy

Focal plane model for flat refractive geometry
Background Flow visualization techniques such as uPIV and droplet imaging determine the measurement volume by the focal plane. Thus, an understanding of how the focal plane moves in reference to the camera is necessary when planar interfaces are present ...

Applications of Differential Geometry of Curves in Roads Design
An important role in the roads design is played by plane curves, if the road lies on a plane surface and by space curves, if the road can not be embeded in a plane.

Classical Casimir interaction in the plane-sphere geometry [PDF]
We study the Casimir interaction in the plane-sphere geometry in the classical limit of high temperatures. In this limit, the finite conductivity of the metallic plates needs to be taken into account.

Massless fields in plane wave geometry
Conformal isometry algebras of plane wave geometry are studied. Then, based on the requirement of conformal invariance, a definition of masslessness is introduced and gauge invariant equations of motion, subsidiary conditions, and corresponding gauge ...
