In 1917, de Sitter used the modified Einstein equation and proposed a model of the Universe without physical matter, but with a cosmological constant. De Sitter geometry, as well as Minkowski geometry, is maximally symmetrical.

Projective planes, Severi varieties and spheres [PDF]
A classical result asserts that the complex projective plane modulo complex conjugation is the 4-dimensional sphere. We generalize this result in two directions by considering the projective planes over the normed real division algebras and by considering the complexifications of these four projective planes.

Evolutes of plane curves and null curves in Minkowski $3$-space [PDF]
We use the isotropic projection of Laguerre geometry in order to establish a correspondence between plane curves and null curves in the Minkowski $3$-space. We describe the geometry of null curves (Cartan frame, pseudo-arc parameter, pseudo-torsion, pairs of associated curves) in terms of the curvature of the corresponding plane curves.

A numerical scheme is presented to design a lattice support for metallic components additively built via laser powder bed fusion. Results show that thermal‐induced distortion can be respectively reduced by 69%, 58%, and 50% in comparison to a uniform lattice, a fully solid support, and a truss‐based lattice support.
