pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Models of Klein Surface Obstruction Graphs

open access: yesКібернетика та комп'ютерні технології
The task of researching the structure of graphs of given connectivity, which are obstructions for a given surface of non-oriented kind, and building their models, from which obstruction graphs are formed by removing or compressing a set of edges, is ...

Some Operations on Complex Fuzzy Graphs

open access: yesRatio Mathematica, 2023
In this paper we discussed about some types of complex fuzzy graphs which is the extension of fuzzy graph. As the membership value of elements of fuzzy graph is in between 0 and 1.

Implementing path coloring algorithms on planar graphs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Master's Project (M.S.) University of Alaska Fairbanks, 2017A path coloring of a graph partitions its vertex set into color classes such that each class induces a disjoint union of paths.

In vitro models of cancer‐associated fibroblast heterogeneity uncover subtype‐specific effects of CRISPR perturbations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Mixing Times of Markov Chains on Degree Constrained Orientations of Planar Graphs [PDF]

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics & Theoretical Computer Science, 2017
We study Markov chains for $\alpha$-orientations of plane graphs, these are orientations where the outdegree of each vertex is prescribed by the value of a given function $\alpha$.

The complexity of approximating the matching polynomial in the complex plane

open access: yes, 2021
We study the problem of approximating the value of the matching polynomial on graphs with edge parameter $\gamma$, where $\gamma$ takes arbitrary values in the complex plane.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Cyclic Permutations in Determining Crossing Numbers

open access: yesDiscussiones Mathematicae Graph Theory, 2022
The crossing number of a graph G is the minimum number of edge crossings over all drawings of G in the plane. Recently, the crossing numbers of join products of two graphs have been studied.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.
